Kvorlons Shmorlons - Attack of the 4 Liners

March 21st, 2008
Humor, Poetry

1. I read this in a poetry book I got as a present
There was a guy named Bill
Who swallowed a nuclear pill
The doctor said “cough”
And they found his head in Brazil

2. I will practice on Dave, because he’s easy to rhyme
There was guy named Dave
Who found photographers must be brave
He would not frown
Even in a shakedown

3. I can see this happening
There was a rambler by the name of Hal
Who was a real funny gal
She would keep us in the loop
If she fell asleep on a bowl of chocolate soup

4. The professional
There was a guy named Naseem
Whose eloquence reigned supreme
He fought injustice of any manner
With a keyboard not a hammer
So we wouldn’t all end up in the slammer

5. I hate it when guys call me habeebi too
There was a student named Asoom
Who lived in a funky room
Just don’t call her Habibti
Or she will ka-boom

6. For Penguin Lovers only
There was a guy named Jad
Who was very rad
He is very much at home
With the penguin and the gnome

7. Awwwwwhh
There was a dame called Kinzi
Who made it seem easy
To raise kids as sweet as daisies
Without going crazy

8. Not Another Victim
There was a guy named Garfan
Who was real withdrawn
He liked to use brain instead of brawn
To make fun of those who made him yawn

9. Kudos
There was a guy called Qwaider
Who started an aggre-gator
It doesn’t have a single ad
He did it only to make us glad

10. Preemptive Retaliatory Strike
There was a guy named Hani
Who wore a pack on his fanny
In Vegas, Montreal or Reno
They wouldn’t let him into a Casino

11. As a bonus, here’s one in Arabic I did for a friend
أبو خليل
مش قليل
كتير طويل
زي الفيل

Nice job, I like it!!! but, IRONICLY, the post’s name is:
Kvorlons Shmorlons - Attack of the 4 Liners
But the FOURTH “4 Liner” has 5 lines! :P

Joe Very observant. Yeah, I had that last line in mind from the start, but needed to rhyme Naseem, and then add something that ends with er, and hammer didn’t seem like a good ending!

lost within I appreciate the kind words

Kinzi The honor is all mine

Qwaider Glad you liked them

ana ahahahaahahahaha !

Batoul I liked 4, and 7 the most.

Dave Then I’ll remember to pick on you next time. J/k :)

Manal Wow, I do like eggs (scrambled with white cheese), and I try to be as sweet as my name! I hope it’s working:D

Princess Grrrrrrrrr.
I forgive you since your red m. inspired this post, and I had you falling into lake Ontario on the last one! I love the limerick. Any attempts to rhyme me with granny and nanny would have inspired a different kind of post… :D

Hal Here’s the fine print: It takes someone with a great deal more self-esteem than I have to share the kind of embarrassing stories you do only to put a smile on your readers face, and we love you for it. Please don’t stop :)

KJ You were supposed to be one of the first victims, but I couldn’t think of anything to go with KJ, and Kinan was even harder ! Besides I’m not messing with you while Darth Kupo is still in charge :D

7aki I get a 1 day weekend this week (2 day weekend next week, and a 3 day weekend the week after that). I was planning on spending that day writing a sonnet like no other, one that would have gone down in history, one that would be worthy of 7aki Fadi! Luckily the talented North American Princess rescued you :D

Observer Glad you liked them

Jad Thank you for the kind words

Princess
Don’t be too impressed, I know how to use a rhyming dictionary eh? :P

7aki’s blog is delightful. When you two become friends, remember where you met!
