Qwaider, none, I read a post about how to pick a husband, and this inspired me to make a list not of how to pick a husband, but people in general.

Asoom, tikrami, easily done.

Good list, it’s missing:

-Are they willing to use a flip chart and colorful markers to help you work out important decisions in your life? (People really love it when I flip chart for them, so I expect the same in return)

-Is there at least one dish that they really, really, really do well. Like impressive beyond belief. (Passionate cooker=good)

-What does their medicine cabinet look like? (Is there a bandaid stuck on to some dried hair gel or toothpaste in there?)

This is very important stuff.

How do they treat kids? Like push them aside; to give a way to themselves or others? Not listen to them when their busy?

How do they treat their parents?

How do they treat the elder?

If they miss a day at work; due to oversleeping or not feeling like it, do they have to get a sick-leave or count it from their annual leave? Or just let it be deducted of their monthly salary peacefully?

If they were to travel just to see someone, or to do anything that’s not urgent, would they still do it even if they don’t have some holidays left for them to take from (of course while knowing that they can still do it, but those few days will be deducted from them)?

If they saw someone looking like they need something & they have the time & ability to help, would they ask to help? And if no one would notice that they’ve helped, would they still do it? Or ignore?

I am still confused somewhat.

Certainly the features are irksome and I regret to admit are a part of many people I know! Lord knows Sara’s point [08:28:51] on people pursuing a point with a raised voice makes my eyes cross in frustration…

Yet equally many I recognise in myself; I can only hope they are the good points! :-)

Globalrama, the more the better.

KJ, I know at least 5 people who ask me for an update on 25 every time I see them. They’re the most materialistic people I know. They’re not even ashamed to ask. This is a giveaway.

Layla, nobody is perfect, and the reason most of these are questions is that there’s no right answer. We all make up our own answers and criteria.

CSS, Sarah, thank you for your ammendments, I added them to the list, and commented on a few of them below.

A1: What is a flip chart ? :)
A4: Great one, if you don’t treat your parents well after what they did for you, chances are you’ll never treat anyone well.
A9: Poeple who only do nice things so that they can brag about it make me sick
A16: Another great one, aside from your spouse (husband/wife), no one knows you as well as your siblings since they knew you before you learned to censor yourself.
A17: What really bothers me is when someone asks you something, and while you’re answering them, they turn their head and start talking to someone else about something irrelevant !
A19: Insincere compliments and smiles are among the best indicators of an opportunist.

Oh wow I missed alot! So it’s about picking a husband….

I think #5, 7, and 10 stand out for me as really important. Also #25 can definately be a deal breaker!

Really important: Does he feel like the luckiest man in the world to have me?

Asma, I didn’t express myself clearly. This was inspired by a post about picking a husband, but it is instead meant to decide how to pick people to associate with in general.

Hani,
First of all sorry for my weak writing and my bad english ,
These questions are very helpful and useful to evaluate the people around you in the same environment such as company , Gym and so on , I always try to find out the answers myself in different ways to judge on others and to decide how should i behave with them , From my experience , You some times you shouldn’t speak in very direct and clear words to avoid misusing your words some times, In Arabic there is a way is called “Ma’aareed” and Arab used to use this way to avoid themselves from lieing and to mislead others (It is almost used in a critical situations) but to me I usually use this way with untrusted people .

The other criterias are standards and all of them are dependent , In my long experience in behaviour studies and personality analysis , I am able to determine 70% from hiddden personality for anyone if he send me an Email with randome words he picks them up ,

Hani , It is really good topic to talk about and i wish you good luck .

This is me nation waly ;)
