Homemade Tag - Define 15 words

Tag

I got tagged by VA. So here are my thoughts on 15 words of her choice.

  1. Loneliness: The default emotion. You don’t have to be alone to be lonely. As much as I’d like, I’m neither a rock nor an island. I need people.
  2. Fear: Something we must master to have courage. I fear time and poverty.
  3. Love: The instant kind is only a chemical reaction. True love is only acquired over time, and derived from true friendship.
  4. Work: Something I must do because I fear poverty.
  5. Perfection: Perfectionists are the product of an over-bearing hyper-critical parent or teacher. They can be arrogant if they try to hold everyone to their own high standards, but since perfection cannot be achieved, they will only end up disappointed. Learning your limits, and setting achievable goals (baby steps) is the first step towards progress.
  6. Beauty:The outer is inherent, obvious and ever-fading, the inner is more illusive, and longer-lasting, but the two are not independent. People with an excess of one will too often neglect the other
  7. Compatibility:Subjective, ever-changing, unpredictable til tested
  8. Home: Where you can lower your shields, and be yourself
  9. Friendship: Someone you trust, who is there for you, and who makes the world seem brighter.
  10. Fun: Letting the child inside out to briefly forget your worries
  11. Faith: To suspend thought, to follow without reason or logic
  12. Anger: A demon in all of us. The more you suppress it, the stronger it gets
  13. Future: The unknown
  14. Eye-Language: Sometimes eyes will express what cannot be said, or what you did not intend to reveal. Combined with body-language, and speech, something to predict behavior.
  15. Books: An idea frozen in time, a thought photographed !

Batoul, I liked your definition of Perfection “Allah and no one else” !

Oddly enough, the hardest words for me to define was compatibility and eye language.
